Julie K. Camacho, ATTORNEY

About Julie

Julie Camacho was drawn to the legal field at a very young age because her adoptive dad was an adjunct professor for St. Mary's University School of Law and she always looked up to him and the example that he set. Julie learned from her adoptive mom, who was an entrepreneur with her own business, that in order to represent business owners effectively, she needed to have  business experience.

She received her B.A. from Austin College in 1994, with a double concentration in Business Administration and Economics before going to work in Austin, Texas, applying her knowledge. She was employed by Temple Inland Mortgage Corporation for about two years, working first in the B & C Loan Operations department and then in the Investor Accounting department.

Julie pursued her law degree in her hometown of San Antonio, Texas.  While in law school, Julie was often on the Dean's list because she loved the law and enjoyed the process of learning new areas of law. Julie received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary's University School of Law in 2001, graduating magna cum laude.

Since law school, Julie has had the opportunity to work for the federal government as an attorney advisor with the Small Business Administration Disaster Assistance Office, and with several law firms throughout Texas. She has provided other attorneys with support by conducting legal research and writing motions or pleadings on their behalf, she has worked on the discovery phase of multi-million dollar cases involving the review of hundreds of thousands of documents for production, and Julie has appeared as appellate counsel accepting primary responsibility for the research and writing of appellate briefs for attorneys whose focus was on the trial of the case.

In 2013, Julie opened her boutique law firm in Fort Worth, Texas. By opening her own firm, Julie was able to control the number of cases she accepts to allow her to give each of her clients the right level of service for their case. Julie also has the opportunity to gain an in-depth understand of her clients' business and goals to tailor her legal advice to help advance the clients' business venture.

Julie loves a challenge and the law; she is naturally competitive and works hard on every case. There are no guarantees in litigation, and the facts of each case determine the likelihood of success. You must make a business decision regarding your goals in litigation, and Julie will work hard to guide you towards the decisions that work for you.
